Teradata

Located at London Bridge, the 17-storey London Bridge ‘Place’, known as the mini Shard, provides 428,000 sf of modern, efficient office and retail space. Conceived with the same spirit as the adjacent London Bridge tower, the shape of the Renzo Piano designed building was determined by the site.

The place is a ground-breaking new business destination that makes a strong and compelling corporate statement in London’s newest commercial quarter.

Creating the right ambience and mood plays a critical role in achieving the correct design statement. The aim of the scheme was to create an environment that inspires staff, welcomes clients into the space and mirrors Teradata’s business aspirations.

The design was created to enhance the brand and work with the building. Using natural elements as the foundation of the mood board and in particular the clean crisp lines associated with the technology based business, graphic data streams have been utilised as a recurring theme for the internal mood.

A combination of crisp strong lines and natural materials create a professional and multi purpose arrival area. Incorporating a potential 9 number cellular meeting facilities ranging from 3 people spaces to a 16 people Boardroom and informal softer working areas allowing for many varied meeting scenarios. Feature pendant lights, and artwork further enhance the space.

Utilising both applied graphic and three dimensional data streams in the form of a semi open screen, strong vertical and directional motifs link the formal and informal meeting zones.

Situated at the end of the space, the staff breakout lounge provides a soft haven away from the general workplace. A combination of seating types gives users a choice of informal meeting and alternative work spaces.

The main open plan workspace has been designed to allow staff to have the maximum access to natural daylight and the views beyond. A central core provides varied meeting and project zones and support services and facilities are located against the building core.
